Tropical Weather Outlook RSS Feed

For the central north Pacific, between 140°W and 180.

1. A low level trough 580 miles southeast of the Big Island is moving west at 15 mph. There are isolated thunderstorms around the south portion of the trough with little or no signs of organization. There is a low chance, near 0 percent, of this feature becoming a tropical cyclone in the next 48 hours.

2. Another low level trough is 820 miles southwest of Kauai. It is moving west at 15 mph. Thunderstorms would periodically develop around the south portion of the trough but are showing little signs of organization. There is a low chance, near 0 percent, of this feature becoming a tropical cyclone in the next 48 hours.

Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected through early Saturday morning.
