For the central north Pacific, between 140°W and 180.

1. An area of disorganized showers and isolated thunderstorms associated with a surface trough is located about 725 miles southeast of Hilo, Hawaii. As the surface trough continues moving generally westward at around 10 mph, there is a low chance, 10 percent, of this system becoming a tropical cyclone during the next two days.

Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected through Thursday afternoon.
