For the central north Pacific, between 140°W and 180.

Thunderstorm coverage has decreased substantially over the past 12 hours within a surface trough located about 700 miles south southeast of Hilo. There is a low chance, near 0 percent, of this system becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours as the system moves west slowly.

Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected through Sunday afternoon.
