Tropical Weather Outlook RSS Feed

For the central north Pacific, between 140°W and 180.

1. A trough about 1350 miles east southeast of Hilo is moving west slowly. Thunderstorms associated with the trough have started moving west of 140°W into the central Pacific, but the thunderstorms have become less active since yesterday. The environment is very not favorable for development. There is a low chance, 10 percent, of this system becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours.

Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected through Friday morning.
