For the central north Pacific, between 140°W and 180.

1. A weak surface trough located about 1525 miles east southeast of Hilo, Hawaii is moving westward at around 10 mph. Disorganized showers and thunderstorms associated with this feature, which have changed little during the past 18 hours, will likely reach longitude 140°W within the next day or so. Strong upper level winds in the vicinity of this system are not conducive for any significant development. Therefore, there is a low chance, 10 percent, of this system becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours.

Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected through late Thursday night.
