Tropical Weather Outlook RSS Feed

For the central north Pacific, between 140°W and 180.

1. A trough about 1700 miles southeast of Hilo is moving west around 10 mph. Thunderstorms associated with the trough will start moving west of 140°W into the central Pacific in 36 hours or so. Conditions are not very favorable for this system to develop. There is a low chance, 10 percent, of this system becoming a tropical cyclone through Thursday morning. Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected throgh Thursday morning.
